OUR ENGINES

E-SKY­ACT­IV X

The X in e‑SKYACTIV X represents the intersection of petrol and diesel. The next-generation e‑SKYACTIV X petrol engine is a revolutionary powerplant that combines the free-revving characteristics of a petrol engine with the fuel efficiency, torque and fast initial response of a diesel engine.

SKY­ACT­IV-G

SKYACTIV‑G petrol engines feature very high compression and a special combustion geometry, which serve as the basis for exceptionally efficient and clean combustion. SKYACTIV‑G engines are more efficient than ever while producing very few harmful emissions.

SKY­ACT­IV-D

Our extremely low compression SKYACTIV‑D diesels are among the most efficient engines available, especially under real-world driving conditions. The latest technology does not only reduce emissions, but also enhance response and noise behaviour.

MAZDA M HYBRID

The Mazda M Hybrid technology provides smoother drive and helps to improve fuel economy by regenerating energy recovered during deceleration and using it to power onboard electrical equipment. Mazda M Hybrid is standard on all petrol-powered Mazda3 and Mazda CX-30 models, including e-Skyactiv X vehicles.

E-SKY­ACT­IV R-EV

The unique e‑SKYACTIV R‑EV combines the best aspects of series hybrids and smooth all-electric driving to equally enjoy daily and long-distance trips. The all-electric system features an added power generator paired with a compact rotary engine extending the range for harmonious trips without charging anxiety.

PER­FECT GRIP, WHATEVER THE CONDI­TIONS

We wanted to go a step beyond the norm for ordinary all-wheel drive. That’s why our i-ACTIV All-Wheel-Drive uses 27 sensors to check road conditions 200 times a second, whilst switching seamlessly between two and four-wheel drive. This gives you reassuring grip on any surface, in any weather, letting you relax and experience an effortless joyful drive.

A SMOOTHER, MORE INTUITIVE DRIVE

G-Vectoring Control brings a feeling of calm as you enjoy precise, accurate and responsive steering with maximum grip even in wet conditions. This handling gives smooth transitions when turning and cornering and makes for a less tiring more pleasurable drive.
